Therapeutic massages have been the focus of Evolve Massage and Alternative Healing since we opened in Birmingham, AL in the summer of 2014. Our unique style of massage therapy was born out of an innate desire to really help people with their pain. Our founder Valerie has an intuitive understanding of how to work with muscles and developed massage techniques to release tension and knots and to have lasting relaxation. She trained Michael and Ian, and now every massage therapist working at Evolve understands and practices her effective methods.
We are referred to by Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, and Physicians that trust us with their patients for deep tissue massage to relieve bothersome and/or chronic muscular pain.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massages are focused on providing customized support for the physical and psychological benefits of our clients. These types of massages are great for musculoskeletal issues, sports injuries, and so much more. This type of massages involves the intentional use of slow, deep tissue pressure to targeted areas, based on the needs of the client. It is important to understand that deep tissue does not mean pain. You can obtain a great deep tissue massage and experience incredible relief, without pain.
Relaxation Massage

A hybrid massage is simply a blend of relaxation techniques and deep tissue techniques that is custom tuned to the needs and feedback of the client.
Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy is uncomfortable – your body is changing, hips moving, gaining weight, carrying another human. Prenatal massage can help you feel more comfortable throughout your pregnancy. We ask you to wait until your second trimester and recommend at least a monthly massage until delivery. We do our prenatal massages side-lying so that you are comfortable and your baby is safe.
Hand/Foot Massage
Looking for a focus on your hands and/or feet? This is the massage for you! We offer hand/foot massage from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Stop in for a quick pick-me up hand/foot massage on a lunch break, or after work for some much needed therapy!
